Summary

It's been years since the Gray Man's first mission, but the trouble's just getting started in the latest entry in the number one New York Times best-selling series。

Before he was the Gray Man, Court Gentry was Sierra Six, the junior member of a CIA action team。

In their first mission, they took out a terrorist leader, at a terrible price。 Years have passed。 The Gray Man is on a simple mission when he sees a ghost: the long-dead terrorist, but he's remarkably energetic for a dead man。

A decade of time hasn't changed the Gray Man。 He isn't one to leave a job unfinished or a blood debt unpaid。

I thoroughly enjoyed this Gray Man story。 Lots of Court Gentry history and current fun。Near the top of the books in the series。。 Maybe my new favorite。

ActionLike sequels that keep me coming back。 Action packed and the hero lives for more Gray man excitement。 Start reading。

Good stuff as usual。 The only problem I had was that sometimes by trying to make the Gray Man seem more human, it makes him look dumb in certain situations。

This book is told in two timelines, one part present day, one part 12 years ago。 Either part could have been a stand alone story, and a quality book。 I think at times though they detract from each other, in that the normal buildup to action felt like it took longer than normal in a gray man book。 The upside here is that because of the flashback/12 years ago part, this book serves as an excellent “jumping on” point for readers new to the series。 Overall solid book, just not the standout that some This book is told in two timelines, one part present day, one part 12 years ago。 Either part could have been a stand alone story, and a quality book。 I think at times though they detract from each other, in that the normal buildup to action felt like it took longer than normal in a gray man book。 The upside here is that because of the flashback/12 years ago part, this book serves as an excellent “jumping on” point for readers new to the series。 Overall solid book, just not the standout that some of the earlier books in the series are, hence the 3 stars instead of the usual 4 stars this series normally gets from me。 。。。more

Really liked Greaney's Clancy books, but since Court came along, things have risen to a whole new level of bad a$$ery。。。The Goon Squad era stuff was fun to read。。。Hoping the Poison Apple gang gets back together soon。 Really liked Greaney's Clancy books, but since Court came along, things have risen to a whole new level of bad a$$ery。。。The Goon Squad era stuff was fun to read。。。Hoping the Poison Apple gang gets back together soon。 。。。more

I like the Grayman series because everything doesn’t work out perfectly for him。 He’s not superhuman。 Flipping between timelines a bit annoying but nothing I couldn’t deal with。 Looking forward to the next。 Maybe a mash up with another lead character?

A new Gray Man book is one of the things I most look forward to whenever a new year rolls around。 This year's installment is an origin story of sorts, with dual timelines set in the present as well as following Court's introduction to and first mission with Golf Sierra twelve years previously。 The back and forth between past and present is handled well, with both parts of the story equally engrossing。 Of course, there had to be a tragic tale of lost love somewhere in Court's past (*cough*cliché* A new Gray Man book is one of the things I most look forward to whenever a new year rolls around。 This year's installment is an origin story of sorts, with dual timelines set in the present as well as following Court's introduction to and first mission with Golf Sierra twelve years previously。 The back and forth between past and present is handled well, with both parts of the story equally engrossing。 Of course, there had to be a tragic tale of lost love somewhere in Court's past (*cough*cliché*cough*), but despite its predictability I ended up quite liking that plot thread - which might have something to do with the fact that I like Julie a lot more than Zoya as a love interest for him。 Another highly entertaining read all around - already looking forward to the next one! 。。。more

I never wrote a review before, but I wanted to for this book。 This is one of the best books that I have read in a long, long time and I would have given it more than 5 stars if I could have。 This was two great stories。 The story in the past told how Court Gentry became part of a CIA paramilitary unit known as Golf Sierra in order to stop a terrorist and the story in the present told how he is a freelance operative on an assignment that became tied to his past。 I am not always excited about readi I never wrote a review before, but I wanted to for this book。 This is one of the best books that I have read in a long, long time and I would have given it more than 5 stars if I could have。 This was two great stories。 The story in the past told how Court Gentry became part of a CIA paramilitary unit known as Golf Sierra in order to stop a terrorist and the story in the present told how he is a freelance operative on an assignment that became tied to his past。 I am not always excited about reading prequels or stories that go back and forth between the past and present, but the author did a great job in writing two wonderful stories and I was fine in going back and forth。 Kudos to Mark Greaney!I loved the story lines and the relationships that Court established in the past and present。 This novel was filled with plenty of suspense, action and thrills。 Court, who is known as The Gray Man is back and better than ever before! He is a man you want on your side! 。。。more

Another winnerThe gray man delivers again。 Mystery intrigue。 Human grit with a hero's tenacity。 The world would truly be a better place if we had some real Court Gentrys running around。 Another winnerThe gray man delivers again。 Mystery intrigue。 Human grit with a hero's tenacity。 The world would truly be a better place if we had some real Court Gentrys running around。 。。。more

Mark Greaney has "done it again"。。。。I have no nails left on either hand!Great story, great characters, unbelievable action sequences and best of all we get some history of Court before he became the Gray Man。I loved this book, except for "lack of sleep" and some fingernail loss。。。I am sad that I now must wait another year for the next Gray Man story。。。。If you are a fan of the Gray Man, this is a must read!enjoy folks, Mark Greaney has "done it again"。。。。I have no nails left on either hand!Great story, great characters, unbelievable action sequences and best of all we get some history of Court before he became the Gray Man。I loved this book, except for "lack of sleep" and some fingernail loss。。。I am sad that I now must wait another year for the next Gray Man story。。。。If you are a fan of the Gray Man, this is a must read!enjoy folks, 。。。more

I now measure all Gray Man books against Gun Metal Gray, a solid 5 with action and a great new addition to his world with Zoya。I find the 11th book in the series a bit derivative with same old action sequences。 I did like to read about his early years starting as Six his time with Julie, but otherwise it was a bit of a slog。

Steve Courson

Are you kidding me? I read it in one day, it’s that good。

Adam Claude

Holy crap! I read the first several books back to back and have been impatiently waiting for Sierra Six and man oh man, what a treat! Mark, you absolutely NAILED it this time brother。 Fan-freaking-tastic! Thank you, now please… hurry up with the next one!

Another really good Gray Man book。As in all the Gray Man books this is non-stop action and compulsive reading。 I like that this book provides a back story on Courtland as well as a current adventure。 Well written。

Giles Burrows

Another great installment in the Gray Man series。 This book has past and present timeline stories told in parallel which works very well。 The past timeline was interesting as it filled in details from CGs past, like how he came to be on the 'Goon Squad'。 Both threads conclude with really exceptional action sequences。 Fantastic。 Another great installment in the Gray Man series。 This book has past and present timeline stories told in parallel which works very well。 The past timeline was interesting as it filled in details from CGs past, like how he came to be on the 'Goon Squad'。 Both threads conclude with really exceptional action sequences。 Fantastic。 。。。more

This is, by far, my favorite Gray Man installment yet。 It's a thriller in every sense of the word。 Greaney's execution of a two-timeline story is done with great skill。Pick up this page-turning ride。 You won't regret it。 This is, by far, my favorite Gray Man installment yet。 It's a thriller in every sense of the word。 Greaney's execution of a two-timeline story is done with great skill。Pick up this page-turning ride。 You won't regret it。 。。。more
